.NET Software Engineer

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and develop code for web client and server-side application components
• Deliver quality code by applying development practices, leveraging test driven development methodology and supporting test automation
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting and resolution
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Participate in peer design and code reviews
• Identify technical, schedule, and other project risks and provide relevant feedback
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps, negotiating compromises between business and technical constraints

Qualifications and Core Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or College Diploma
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience in Software development
• Minimum 3 years of C# programming
• Experience as a Software Engineer in production of commercial software developing web-based products
• Development experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, DHTML, XML, SQL (Stored Procedure, View, Functions ect.)
• Minimum 3 years working with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge or experience with test driven development and agile/iterative development methodologies
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments
• Able to learn quickly and effectively apply new knowledge
• Strong analytic skills, problem-solving ability and attention to detail

This is a permanent full time salaried position with standard benefits package (medical, dental and disability insurance) and annual continuing professional training subsidy working from a corporate office in Richmond, BC. The annual salary for this job is $80K/Annum
